"Cell Phone Theft" - Keep your mobile safe!
Cell phone is the means
of communication, and everyone owns a cell phone. There are numerous
schemes announced to increase the market value of the mobile phones.
Most of the cell phone companies hardly seem interested in preventing
the cell phone theft. Many do not realize they have lost the mobile and
rarely they make attempts to complain it to police. Can you imagine
that a thief who stole a mobile made calls worth $26000, before it was
reported to the police. Here, some tips to avoid theft,
Never misplace:
When you carry your mobile, make sure you don't drop them on the table, couch, etc., Make sure you change the silent mode once you move out of silent zone.
Clip or leash:
Attach a clip or leach to your mobile, so that it is visible can be identified easily
Passwords:
Lock your mobile with a safety pin and also encrypt important details stored in it.
IMEI:
Make note of the IMEI number by typing *#06# and note down the 15 digit number. This can be done if it is a GSM mobile. When your mobile is lost, this number can be used and the cell phone can be made useless.
Insurance:
Insure your mobile, this can refund your money. These offers come along with the mobile.
Theft tracker:
Mobiles come with theft tracker. When a mobile is stolen and a new card is inserted. The new number is messages to the saved number in mobile tracking option.
Google Mobile find:
Google tells you, where the call is transferred from and thus tracing the lost one becomes easy.
So with all these tips, being cautious about your mobile is a very important thing to avoid your mobile from theft.
